988 Crisis Lifeline Policy

To ensure that all students, faculty, and staff are aware of immediate, 24/7 mental-health crisis support through the national number 988 and understand how the school will respond when the hotline is used or referenced in campus settings.

  • 988 is a freeconfidential, nationwide service providing support by phone, text, or chat for people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress.
  • It is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

It can be used by an individual in crisis or by someone concerned about another person.
